What has changed or shifted for you as a result of working with Dr. Mittal?

I feel so much better physically already from the process made, which right away I felt like I started seeing and feeling a difference and that was encouraging. My first big wow moment was right before I started I had taken a trip to Disney/Universal and struggled with the walking.

Just three months later, we took another trip to Vegas and were walking like 20k steps a day and it was such a stark difference in how I felt and managed I still remember it. Bigger picture, I have patterns established now that weren’t before, like automatically knowing things to add to my grocery list like fruit or veggies and then grabbing those things for breakfast and snacks. Or when I know I need more fiber building in oatmeal and high fiber cereal and Ezekiel bread. Or building a salad and then tossing some edamame beans on top.

I’ve learned a ton about finding and keeping recipes, the types of meals I’m looking for, how to balance my plate and my day, etc.

Why is Dr. Mittal’s approach different from other weight loss experiences you’ve had in the past?

She is so kind and understanding, and I love how so much of her approach is educating but also letting you decide what’s important to you.

If you love ground beef, absolutely, but maybe do it just once a week and then pepper leaner proteins around it. I like that it’s not about limiting yourself, cutting out foods, or restricting, it’s about giving you tools and then finding sustainable ways to make it so you can keep doing everything long term and have your systems and knowledge in place.

And she’s never about negativity, punishing, making yourself feel bad – there’s no “cheats,” only indulgences (trying to be mindful about them!).

What part of her process was pivotal in helping you moving the needle for you?

I think the monthly in person visits have been the most impactful for me.

Sometimes I forget to recognize all the positive change I’ve already accomplished, or it’s hard to know if what I’m doing at home feels like I’m making a difference. Anytime I would come into the office feeling a little down or discouraged that month, I would always leave feeling motivated again after talking to Dr. M.

It’s really hard to do this on your own, but she’s really good about helping to refocus the energy on looking forward and staying positive, and helping find wins to recognize.

Why would you recommend Radiant Health and Wellness to someone else struggling with their health or weight?

I can’t say enough positive things about Dr. M and the Radiant Health team. I would recommend them because they’re supportive, provide so many helpful resources, and I really feel like Dr. M’s approach works.
